Job purpose
The Sales Executive is responsible for identifying business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving room, event, and banquet sales.
The role involves promoting the hotel’s services, maintaining customer satisfaction, meeting sales targets, and contributing to increased revenue.
Key responsibilities
Sales and client acquisition
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and site visits.
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and tour operators.
- Respond to sales inquiries and prepare quotations, contracts, and proposals.
Hotel promotion
- Promote the hotel’s rooms, facilities—including conference halls, restaurants, and spa—and special packages.
- Conduct hotel site inspections and presentations for potential clients.
- Attend industry events, trade fairs, and exhibitions to represent the hotel and generate leads.
Revenue generation
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies.
- Upsell services and packages to maximize revenue per booking.
Reporting and coordination
- Maintain an updated client database and sales activity records in the CRM system.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts.
- Coordinate with other departments, including Front Office, Events, and Food and Beverage, to ensure the smooth execution of client bookings and events.
Qualifications and experience
- Degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of two to three years of experience in hotel or resort sales or a similar role.
- A strong network within the hospitality, travel, or corporate sector is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with hotel sales systems, such as Opera Sales or Delphi, is an advantage.

- Strong presentation and public-speaking skills.

- Knowledge of the local market and current trends.
