Background
TMHS Group is searching for a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and experienced Safety and Quality Manager to lead our organization’s Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Quality Management initiatives across all operational areas. This senior-level position is vital in ensuring that TMHS Group maintains the highest standards of workplace safety, operational compliance, and continuous quality improvement. The ideal candidate will bring a strong academic background in Environmental Sciences, coupled with solid hands-on experience overseeing OHS programs, conducting detailed risk assessments, and implementing quality assurance frameworks.
Responsibilities
In this demanding and influential role, the Safety and Quality Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing organizational safety policies, ensuring alignment with both national and international HSE regulations. The manager will lead all safety audits, incident investigations, and root-cause analyses to prevent recurring issues and strengthen the company’s safety culture. A key part of the role involves overseeing OHS equipment inspections, ensuring systems are functioning correctly, and addressing any malfunctions through effective troubleshooting and corrective action planning.
Additionally, the successful candidate will coordinate and supervise laboratory quality management systems, including adherence to ISO standards and continual readiness for internal and external audits. The ability to effectively interpret quality results, review laboratory records, and enforce quality control protocols will be essential. This role also includes managing external OHS consultancy projects—planning, allocating resources, monitoring progress, and ensuring the timely delivery of all consultancy services at the highest standard.
A critical aspect of the position is developing new consultancy opportunities by engaging with different organizations, identifying gaps in their safety systems, and proposing tailored OHS solutions. The manager will act as the primary liaison with client organizations, ensuring excellent communication, timely updates, and absolute professional integrity. Given the leadership demands of this role, exceptional communication, problem-solving, and team management skills are necessary. The organization requires an individual who is not only technically strong but also capable of inspiring a proactive safety-first mindset throughout all departments.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have at least five years of experience serving in an HSE Manager capacity, with demonstrable achievements in safety management, regulatory compliance, training, auditing, and quality systems oversight.
