Persea Oils is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Process Coordinator to support manufacturing operations in Njombe. The role is responsible for monitoring daily production processes, coordinating maintenance activities, tracking operational performance, and ensuring that production targets are achieved efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with production, maintenance, quality assurance, and warehouse teams to identify process improvement opportunities, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires strong analytical skills, operational coordination abilities, and a commitment to maintaining efficient manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Monitor daily production processes and operational performance.
  • Coordinate production and maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Track key process indicators and production performance metrics.
  • Prepare operational and performance reports for management review.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support implementation of process improvement and optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions for operational issues.
  • Liaise with production, maintenance, quality assurance, and warehouse departments.
  • Monitor production schedules and support efficient workflow management.
  • Analyze production data and identify opportunities for increased productivity.
  • Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement programs.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate production records and documentation.
  • Promote adherence to workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Support operational excellence initiatives across the manufacturing process.

Qualifications or requirements 

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and maintenance coordination practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Continuous Improvement, or related methodologies is an advantage.

Experience needed

  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or process improvement environments.
  • Experience monitoring production activities and coordinating maintenance operations.
  • Experience preparing operational reports and analyzing performance data.
  • Ability to interpret production metrics and recommend process improvements.
