Role Overview:
To advance knowledge in Parasitology, Vector Biology, and Vector-Borne Diseases through teaching, research, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach parasitology, medical entomology, and tropical medicine to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Conduct field and laboratory research on malaria, helminthiasis, trypanosomiasis, leishmaniasis, or other parasitic and vector-borne diseases.
- Supervise graduate students and field research assistants.
- Collaborate with national disease control programs and international research networks.
- Develop diagnostic tools, surveillance methods, and vector control strategies.
- Contribute to public health outreach and policy advising.
Requirements:
- PhD role: PhD in Parasitology, Entomology, or related field; extensive field research experience.
- Master’s role: Master’s in Parasitology, Entomology, or Tropical Medicine.
- Mandatory GPA: Master’s GPA ≥ 4.0; Bachelor’s GPA ≥ 3.5.
- Expertise in parasite identification, molecular diagnostics, vector ecology, or insectary management.
- Willingness to conduct fieldwork in endemic regions.
