JOB DETAILS:

Role Overview:

To advance knowledge in Parasitology, Vector Biology, and Vector-Borne Diseases through teaching, research, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach parasitology, medical entomology, and tropical medicine to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Conduct field and laboratory research on malaria, helminthiasis, trypanosomiasis, leishmaniasis, or other parasitic and vector-borne diseases.
• Supervise graduate students and field research assistants.
• Collaborate with national disease control programs and international research networks.
• Develop diagnostic tools, surveillance methods, and vector control strategies.
• Contribute to public health outreach and policy advising.

Requirements:

• PhD role: PhD in Parasitology, Entomology, or related field; extensive field research experience.
• Master’s role: Master’s in Parasitology, Entomology, or Tropical Medicine.
• Mandatory GPA: Master’s GPA ≥ 4.0; Bachelor’s GPA ≥ 3.5.
• Expertise in parasite identification, molecular diagnostics, vector ecology, or insectary management.
• Willingness to conduct fieldwork in endemic regions.

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: postgraduate degree
