We are looking for an Orphans and Vulnerable Children Coordinator (OVCC).
Responsibilities :
- Facilitate training and provide coordination for the OVC Ministries
- Establish performance goals tailored to ministries, in line with the country goals and monitor their performance
- Be the communication link between the ministries, the CO, the local government and the line Government Ministry
- Conduct and attend regular management meetings to ensure that priorities, key result areas and goals are clear
- Conduct regular reviews on OVC ministry and decide on appropriate and required actions as a result.
- Facilitate resolution of issues between ministries and staff
- Participate in the annual planning and budgeting process.
- Develop program curriculum in collaboration with the Program Director.
- Manage relationship with local education authorities, school’s principals and other important stakeholders in local education forums.
- Participate in the planning and coordination of trauma and counselling activities.
Required profile for job ad : Orphans and Vulnerable Children Coordinator (OVCC) – Mwanza
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Program Management, Social Work and/or Public Relations or 10 years’ experience in program and operations management.
- 5 years’ work experience in the coordination of complex programmatic initiatives, the leadership of teams, and the management of operations in an organisation.
- Additional Qualifications and Experience: A qualification in Community Development and/or Business Administration would be an added advantage.
- Special requirements country laws for working within an environment where there are children.
- Computer literate including basic knowledge of MS Office and Internet
- Basic administration skills • Fluent in English and a local language
- Experience in administration work and/or children’s ministry is a plus • Being a born-again Christian, and demonstrating a growing relationship with Christ
- Organisational and relational skills
