Background
Zee Collections Company Limited is hiring an Operations Manager to oversee its supply chain, warehouse, inventory, transportation, and distribution operations. The role is based in Kaskazini Unguja, Zanzibar, Tanzania, and requires a candidate with strong logistics, inventory management, and team leadership skills.
The Operations Manager will oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring liquor products are efficiently received, stored, transported, and delivered from Zanzibar to customers across Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse, inventory, and distribution operations.
- Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules across Tanzania.
- Ensure timely order fulfillment and customer deliveries.
- Monitor stock levels and implement inventory control procedures.
- Minimize stock losses, damages, and operational inefficiencies.
- Supervise warehouse personnel, drivers, and logistics teams.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with Finance and Sales departments to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Generate operational reports and recommend process improvements.
- Manage supplier and transport partner relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics, operations, warehouse management, or distribution.
- Experience managing inventory and transportation operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational targets.
- Experience in FMCG, beverage, or liquor distribution is highly desirable.
- Must be willing to relocate to Zanzibar.
