JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities for the Role The Operations Manager will undertake the following duties:
- Monitor and coordinate daily operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to company policies.
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of logistics and transport activities.
- Ensure that all operational processes are executed smoothly and effectively.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to assess performance.
- Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare reports on operational performance for the Director of Operations.
- Supervise and support operational staff, including coordinators and shift supervisors.
- Provide training and guidance to ensure staff are meeting performance standards.
- Address and resolve any staff-related issues or concerns.
- Analyze operational processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with other departments to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Ensure that operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to safety procedures and protocols.
- Conduct safety audits and address any safety concerns promptly.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in logistics or transportation.
- Experience in supervising operational staff and managing day-to-day operations
