The Middle Class Teacher is responsible for the education and development of children aged 4-5 years, preparing them for primary school.
Responsibilities
- Plan and Deliver Lessons: Design and implement age-appropriate lessons that develop early literacy, numeracy, science, social studies, and creative arts skills.
- School Readiness: Prepare children for the transition to primary school by developing foundational skills (letter recognition, number sense, pre-writing, social skills).
- Child Development: Assess, track, and document children's developmental progress and learning outcomes, sharing regular updates with parents.
- Classroom Management: Provide a safe, hygienic, and structured classroom environment, managing behavior with positive guidance techniques.
- Learning Activities: Organize individual, small group, and whole-class activities that promote active learning and curiosity.
- Health and Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, adhering to health and hygiene protocols.
- Parental Engagement: Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians about children's progress and learning.
- Learning Environment: Create a stimulating and organized learning environment with appropriate learning materials, displays, and resources.
