Tunduru District Council is seeking to fill 10 vacant posts for Medical Doctor II.

Responsibilities or duties

i. Perform all hospital treatment services related to various diseases within their professional field.

ii. Plan, supervise and evaluate health services at district or regional level.

iii. Train students from health training institutions within the working area.

iv. Diagnose, monitor and prevent disease outbreaks.

v. Prepare continuing health education programs for health service users.

vi. Train and supervise subordinate staff.

vii. Supervise employees under their responsibility.

viii. Initiate, conduct and monitor research and disseminate findings.

ix. Initiate and prepare projects aimed at improving service quality in their profession.

x. Provide outreach services in the district.

xi. Provide medical-legal services.

xii. Participate in the preparation and implementation of Government health policies and plans.

xiii. Advise the Ministry on the management of grassroots health services.

xiv. Participate in Medical Board Committees for assessing employees with health-related issues.

xv. Prepare health education materials for service users.

xvi. Prepare plans and budget estimates for health services.

xvii. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor according to qualifications, experience and expertise.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

a) Applicants must possess a Degree in Medicine/Doctor of Medicine from a recognized institution approved by the Government.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL APPLICANTS

i. Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.

v. Applicants who submit Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statements of Results, Form IV and Form VI Result Slips will NOT be accepted and will not proceed to the next stage of recruitment.

vi. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates are verified and recognized by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTVET).

vii. Public servants should not apply unless they have obtained permission from their respective employers.
