Platinum Medical Care Hospital – Morogoro is seeking dedicated, qualified, and compassionate healthcare professionals to join our team and contribute to the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centred healthcare services.

MEDICAL ATTENDANT

Job Summary

The Medical Attendant will support healthcare professionals in providing basic patient care, maintaining patient comfort, and ensuring a clean, safe, and supportive clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with basic daily care and mobility where required.
• Support nurses and other healthcare professionals with routine patient-care activities.
• Assist with transferring and positioning patients safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene around patient-care areas.
• Assist with preparation of clinical rooms and equipment.
• Transport patients safely within the hospital when required.
• Assist with collection and delivery of specimens as directed.
• Help maintain adequate supplies in assigned clinical areas.
• Observe and report changes in patients' condition to the appropriate healthcare professional.
• Follow infection-prevention and control procedures.
• Respect patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Perform other patient-support duties assigned by the nursing or clinical team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant certificate or training in healthcare assistance, nursing assistance, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is an advantage.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Caring, patient, reliable, and physically fit.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
