Said Salim Bakhresa & Co. Ltd. is seeking to recruit a competent, self-motivated, and results-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join its Technical Department.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment, including milling machinery and related plant systems.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with the Milling team while ensuring compliance with safety, GMP, and quality standards.
  • Supervise maintenance personnel, support equipment installation and commissioning, and manage critical spare parts.
  • Analyze equipment performance, prepare maintenance reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications or requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) will be an added advantage.

Experience needed

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in flour milling, food processing, FMCG, or other continuous process industries is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Bühler milling equipment will be a distinct advantage.
