JOB DETAILS:
A leading chain of Hotels based in Southern region of Zanzibar located at Bwejuu is in urgent need to recruit a Marine Conservation Manager with the following qualifications and experience as outlined below.

Summary
Reporting to General Manager! Group General Manager, duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

JOB DESCRIPTION

General Duties & Responsibilities

• To establish a marine conservation program.
  
• To oversee the implementation of the conservation program
  
• To train the local staff in monitoring of the program.
  
• To teach guests about the marine conservation and the importance of Zanzibar ecosystem. This might include underwater Diving.
  
• To walk along the beach and tidal lagoon and pinpoint sensitive areas to be dealt with.
  
• To organize a weekly informal power point with the guests highlighting our program and the importance of it.
  
• To provide a written report to the Group GM and the Directors on the monthly basis regarding the implementation of the marine conservation program.
  

Qualification and experience

• A Bachelor Degree/Diploma of science in zoology from a recognized University or College and a3 years’ experience as a Marine conservation Manager.
  
• Master of Science in marine conservation from a recognized University.
  Scuba PADI Dive master with 3 years’ experience.
  
• Fluent in oral and written English with good communication skills, good inter personal skills and leader ship skills.
  
• Flexible in working hours and schedules.
