Job Title: Manager – Credit Quality Assurance & Loan Monitoring
Department: Banking Operations
Job Grade: Manager
Reports To: Senior Manager – Credit Quality Assurance & Loan Monitoring

Purpose of the Role
The Manager ensures the sound quality of the bank’s credit portfolio through effective monitoring, review of credit processes, and adherence to policies and approval terms throughout the life of each credit facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the Credit Quality Assurance Unit strategy in line with the bank’s goals and emerging credit risk trends.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the Unit’s business plans, KPIs, budgets, and objectives.
- Provide regular management reports with analysis, forecasting, and insights on credit performance, risk, and customer experience.
- Conduct scheduled and event-triggered credit quality monitoring activities, including site visits, covering:
- Compliance with credit policies, procedures, and risk management systems.
- Adherence to credit covenants, undertakings, and terms of facilities.
- Monitoring collateral and margining requirements to ensure security values meet thresholds, with follow-ups as necessary.
- Deploy and champion robust credit quality assurance tools, including MIS, dashboards, and portfolio-level integrated credit risk monitoring.
- Submit accurate and timely periodic reports, highlighting performance against defined credit quality parameters.
- Maintain effective internal and external relationships through individual contacts and bank-facilitated forums.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of credit risk mitigations, financing mechanisms, structured trade finance, project finance, and syndications.
- Broad understanding of banking statutes, laws, and regulations.
- Familiarity with bank systems, policies, and procedures.
- Leadership and people management skills.
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years in banking credit, controls, performance management, or compliance roles.
- Lead the development and implementation of the Credit Quality Assurance Unit strategy in line with the bank’s goals and emerging credit risk trends.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the Unit’s business plans, KPIs, budgets, and objectives.
