Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible to attend repairs, fitting, and maintenance on mechanical parts in the factories.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect equipment as per checklists timely and submit to a section planner.
• To ensure planned maintenance of mechanical equipment are executed timely.
• To conduct off crop maintenance/overhauls as planned.
• Carry out agreed monitoring, sampling & analysis routines to identify & escalate non-conformances in a timely manner.
• Close relationship and communication with operation team to enable timely troubleshooting of equipment breakdown.
• Clear communication and partnership with other maintenance partner (maintenance planner, CBM, instrument, electrical and operational) personnel to ensure maximum plant availability.
• Adhere to maintenance best practices as per Illovo IAMP practices.
• Ensure proper use and storage of all working tools and provide the checklist to the maintenance foreman or section planner for record keeping.
• Adhere to Illovo values (Accountability, empowerment, integrity, commitment and inclusiveness)

Job Qualification and Experience:

• VETA Trade Test grade I of fitting mechanics or equivalent mechanical experience.
• At least 2 years' experience of doing maintenance in a sugar factory.
• Ordinary level secondary education.

Terms of Service:
