JOB DETAILS:

CHATO WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION AUTHORITY (CHAWASSA)

LABORATORY ASSISTANT TECHNICIAN GRADE II – 02 POSTS

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct daily testing of water samples to determine the type and quantity of treatment chemicals required.
• Collect water samples from various points of the water treatment system for analysis and record keeping.
• Carry out water and wastewater treatment procedures.
• Conduct physical, chemical, and bacteriological analyses of water and wastewater.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained in good working condition.
• Participate in data collection, preparation, and analysis related to water production, distribution, and quality.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Certificate/FTC in Water Laboratory Engineering, Water Laboratory Technology, or related fields from a government-recognized institution, with at least one year of relevant work experience.

Salary

Salary will be paid according to the Authority’s regulations.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS

Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 30 years.

Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates are verified and recognized by the relevant authorities (NECTA or NACTE).

Applicants who submit forged certificates or false information will face legal action.

All applications must be written in Kiswahili.

Applicants must attach a copy of the National Identification Card (NIDA) or National Identification Number (NIN).
