Job Details

Outlier helps the world’s most innovative companies improve their AI models by providing human feedback. The company is looking for experienced Kiswahili writers to help train generative artificial intelligence models.

Important

• All resumes must be submitted in English.

Responsibilities

• Read Kiswahili text and rank AI-generated responses.
• Write short stories in Kiswahili based on given topics.
• Assess whether Kiswahili text generated by AI is factually accurate.
• Evaluate the quality of AI-generated Kiswahili content.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a professional translator.
• Professional writing experience such as copywriting, journalism, technical writing, or editing.
• Currently enrolled in or completed an undergraduate program in a humanities or writing-related field.
• Currently enrolled in or completed a graduate program related to creative writing.

Compensation

• Core project work: Earn up to USD $12.50 per hour.
• Additional mission incentives can increase earnings by an average of 7.5%, with top contributors earning an average increase of 11%.
• Rates vary depending on expertise, skills assessment, location, project requirements, and other factors.
• Some projects may offer additional incentive payments.
• Lower rates may apply during onboarding or non-core project phases.
