Responsibilities

The Junior Technical Officer will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of technical equipment.
  • Following standard operating procedures and safety protocols to minimize risks.
  • Ensuring that quality standards are maintained throughout production and operational processes.
  • Documenting maintenance activities, equipment modifications, and operational challenges.
  • Developing process improvements using engineering principles and software tools.
  • Conducting material planning and coordinating with the procurement team on resource allocation.
  • Contributing to sustainable engineering initiatives that are environmentally friendly and safe.
  • Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications and skills

Candidates should have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality assurance and quality control, or a STEM-related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and process improvement.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • A willingness to learn, follow instructions, and adapt to different engineering, technical, and operational roles.
  • Fluency in English and Swahili.
