JOB DETAILS:
The College of Business Education was established by the College of Business Education Act CAP 315 R.E. 2002 (CBE Act). It is a Public Higher Learning Institution which provides Teaching, Research and Consultancy Services in the fields of Accountancy, Procurement and Supplies Management, Marketing Management, Metrology and Standardization, ICT and other businessrelated disciplines. Applications are invited from suitable, qualified and experienced Tanzanians for volunteering positions at the College of Business Education:

Applications are invited from suitable, qualified and experienced Tanzanians for volunteering positions at the College of Business Education:

1.1 ICT Officer (Webmaster) 1 – POST

1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
i. To train, organize and support College staff as they create and edit web content;
ii. To select and implement a CMS software solution including, but not limited to template creation, security and approval levels, WYSIWYG content editor, versioning, content scheduling etc;
iii. To provide technical and user training and manuals to staff;
iv. To create mechanisms to enable members of staff to create and maintain online profiles; v. To provide technical leadership to team and department members, leading through example/mentoring;
v. To influence others and effectively working with peers, team members, and other departments;
vi. To collect and prepare content for the website;
vii. To perform and review systems analysis, design, programming, testing, debugging, and documentation for all website related projects;
viii. To ensure that all design elements, templates and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types and screen settings;
ix. To ensure content on the College website communicates clearly, effectively, and consistently;
x. To provide technical and user training manuals to the College staff; xii. To lead website improvement management process;
xi. To provide design elements, templates, and finished website solutions;
xii. To test new website contents before moving to production;
xiii. To create and maintain metadata and other inputs in the system to optimize search engine results;
xiv. xvi. To perform image manipulation tasks such as creating thumbnails, image resize, file format conversion and simple image edits; and
xv. xvii. To perform any other related duties assigned by supervisor.

1.3 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor of Science in Communications, or Computer Science or Information Technology, or Web Development or related fields;
• Experience in managing development of complex websites;
• Minimum of three years’ experience as a Web Content/Social Media Manager, preferably in a University/College or similar environment, with content development, management and maintenance responsibilities;

GENERAL CONDITIONS
(i) All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania with age not above 30 years of age;

(v) Applicants must attach their certified copies of the following certificates: –
• Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates; Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma transcripts;
• Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates;
• Birth certificate; and
• National Identification Card.
(vi) Attaching copies of the following certificates is strictly not accepted: –
• Form IV and form VI results slip;
• Testimonials and all Partial transcripts;
(vii) An applicant should indicate three reputable referees with reliable contacts;
(viii) Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level education should be verified by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA);
(ix) Professional certificates from Foreign Universities and other training institutions should be verified by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and National
Council for Technical Education (NACTVET);
(x) An applicant with special needs/case (disability) is advised to indicate;
(xi) Only short-listed candidates will be informed on the date of interview;
(xii) Presentation of forged certificates and other information will necessitate legal action;
