HYDRA OPERATOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate the Hydra safely and efficiently for lifting, loading, unloading and positioning of materials and equipment.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and ensure the crane is in good working condition.
• Inspect boom, hook, wire ropes, hydraulic systems, tyres, brakes, outriggers, controls and safety devices.
• Ensure the crane is positioned on suitable and stable ground and outriggers are correctly deployed.
• Follow lifting procedures, signal instructions and operate within the crane's rated capacity.
• Comply with all health, safety, environmental and operational requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Valid Driver’s Licence.
• Valid Mobile Crane/Hydra Operator’s Permit or relevant certification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience operating a Hydra/mobile crane.
• Experience in lifting, loading, unloading and positioning of materials and equipment.
• Knowledge of crane operation, lifting procedures and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and understand basic load charts.
• Physically fit, responsible and safety-conscious.
