Responsibilities or duties
This position is responsible for the administration and management of staff welfare and supports recruitment including conducting (QC) quality control of HR documents and procedures. Being center for the company legal issues including drafting different supplier contract and representing company in all CMA issues.
The HR/Legal Officer operates as a generalist and carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: departmental development, Human Resources Information System (HRIS), supports recruitment and retention, employee relations, training and development/Legal issues and benefits administration.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Industrial relations / or a related field.
- Practicing Advocate of the High Court this is must criterial.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
Experience needed
Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in Corporate Laws.

Strong organizational skills.
- Support the recruitment process from end to end.
- Develop, update and ensure effective implementation of new hires on-boarding and training programs.
- Conduct new hire on boarding ensuring the new hires have understood the policies and procedures, sign offs and other on boarding materials.
- Create, arrange and maintain recruitment records per Mega Beverages’ recruitment policy.
- Conduct quality check before a new employee reports to work by verifying the Certificate of Good Conduct/Police Clearance Certificate and conduct background checks.
- Create and maintain physical personnel files for all staff and file any relevant documentation.
- Drafting suppliers contract and being central point for legal issues.
- Representing Company in all CMA cases.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Industrial relations / or a related field.
