Background
Shimbi Royal Lodge in Korogwe, Tanga, is inviting applications from qualified and motivated candidates for two positions of Hotel Attendant. The lodge is looking for customer-focused individuals who can provide quality hospitality services while maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest areas.
About the Role
Hotel Attendants will contribute to the daily operations of Shimbi Royal Lodge by ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are clean, organised, and presentable. They will also interact directly with guests and help create a positive hospitality experience.
The role requires individuals who are respectful, disciplined, attentive to guests' needs, able to work as part of a team, and willing to work flexible hours.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and preparing guest rooms according to lodge standards.
- Maintaining cleanliness in public areas.
- Welcoming guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Responding to guest requests and enquiries.
- Changing bed linen and other room supplies.
- Replacing toiletries and restocking guest-room supplies.
- Reporting maintenance faults to the supervisor.
- Reporting lost property according to lodge procedures.
- Supporting restaurant and bar services during busy periods.
- Keeping gardens and other guest areas clean and presentable.
- Maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Working with other staff members to support smooth lodge operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Certificate in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a hotel, lodge, or hospitality environment is an added advantage.
- Excellent customer-service skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- A well-presented and professional manner.
- Discipline and respect when dealing with guests and colleagues.
- Attentiveness to guest needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
