JOB DETAILS:

Bishop Nicodemus Hhando College of Health Sciences is seeking to fill two positions for Tutor – II (Health Laboratory Scientist-II).

Responsibilities or duties

• To teach Medical Laboratory Students NTA Level 4 up to NTA Level 6.
• To conduct tutorials, seminars and practical exercises for students under close supervision of a tutor.
• To prepare learning resources for tutorial exercises.
• To supervise students during their operational research project.
• To supervise students during their community fieldwork and clinical rotation at practicum sites.
• To carry out consultancy and community service as part of continuous professional development.
• To set and participate in moderation, printing, invigilation, marking of students’ examination scripts and provide constructive feedbacks to students.
• To ensure students comply with the disciplinary code for students of health training institutions.
• To perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Holder of Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences (BMLS) or Equivalent Qualification from institutions recognized by the government who have completed internship training and fully registered by the Health Laboratory Practitioners’ Council (HLPC) with valid practicing license.

Experience needed

Participation in teaching methodology for TVET institutions and/or working experience of more than one year in TVET institutions will be an added advantage.

Attractive remuneration according to BNHCHS salary scale.
