JOB DETAILS:

Manyara Regional Referral Hospital is seeking to fill 5 positions for Health Assistants.

Responsibilities or duties,

• Cleaning work equipment, wards and the surrounding environment.
• Assisting patients with disabilities and those who are unable to care for themselves.
• Assisting patients who are unable to feed themselves.
• Collecting patients’ clothes and taking them for laundry.
• Collecting patient samples for laboratory investigations and following up on the results.
• Preparing equipment for cleaning and dressing wounds.
• Following up on patients’ medication requirements from the drug store.
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills),

• Must have completed Form Four education and obtained one year of training in the health field, specifically Community Health, from a Government-recognized institution.
• Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
• Must possess a Form Four Certificate of Education.
• Must have computer skills, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.
• Must be aged between 18 and 45 years.
• Must have good conduct and discipline and must not have been convicted of a criminal offence by a court or imprisoned.

Experience needed,

Experience in the relevant profession/cadre will be given priority.

Payment will be made in accordance with the 2025 Public Service Volunteer Guidelines.

ix. Copies of certificates must be certified by an Advocate/Notary or Magistrate.
