Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversee the smooth, efficient and effective running of the finance department
• Produce monthly and quarterly financial statements fully reconciled for review by Board and members in their monthly and quarterly meetings
• Ensure compliance with statutory audit requirements and donor reporting formats
• Ensure all taxation and regulatory requirements are complied with at all times
• Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, including operating and capital
• Ensure approved budgets are adhered to at all times
• In conjunction with the Executive Director, ensure that cash flows adequately support ANSAF activities and produce optimal results
• Ensure efficient financial administrative systems are in place and implemented (such as
updating fixed asset register, inventory list, participate in procurement meetings, etc)
• Delivers timely, accurate and realistic budgets, forecasts and variance analysis
• Establishes and maintains financial controls and ensures that internal control framework is
sufficiently robust so that operational risks are identified quickly and minimized
• Ensure that annual audits are timely initiated and recommendations are implemented Experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Business Administration. Preferably CPA holder
• Experience of at least 5 years working with an NGO and with knowledge of Donor reporting and requirement
• Knowledgeable about information technology systems including accounting and office software such as Quick books
