Africab Co. Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient HVAC Technician/Engineer to join our growing team and support our facilities across Tanzania. Responsibilities or duties

In this role, the HVAC Technician/Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that include installing new air conditioning and ventilation systems, conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical problems, and ensuring all systems adhere to industry best practices and the company’s internal safety protocols. The role also demands an ability to interpret and work from detailed blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical diagrams. You will be required to perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime, improve energy efficiency, and extend the lifespan of HVAC components across all Africab Co. Ltd. facilities.

Qualifications or requirements

The ideal candidate should be physically fit, capable of working in various environmental conditions, and comfortable handling specialized HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment. Experience with refrigeration cycles, compressors, air handling units, chillers, split systems, and ventilation networks will be essential. Candidates with exposure to Tanzanian building codes, environmental regulations, and compliance standards will be given preference. We also encourage qualified Indian applicants to apply, provided they meet the necessary age and joining requirements.

All candidates must be up to 40 years old and able to join the company within 45 days of receiving an offer. Relevant technical certifications or a degree in HVAC Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field are strongly preferred. This role demands reliability, accuracy, and strong problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with other technical teams and operational departments.
