We are seeking to hire an HR and Administration professional who will be responsible for supporting the effective management of people, workplace administration, employee records, policies, and day-to-day office operations. The role will help ensure that HESA Africa maintains an organised, compliant, productive, and supportive working environment.
Responsibilities
- Supports the implementation and administration of HR policies, procedures, and employee practices.
- Maintains accurate and confidential employee records, contracts, leave records, attendance records, and other personnel documentation.
- Coordinates recruitment activities including job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, documentation, and onboarding.
- Supports employee onboarding, induction, probation reviews, performance management, and offboarding processes.
- Maintains and updates staff information and HR databases and ensures records are accurate and current.
- Coordinates leave, attendance, staff welfare, and other employee administration matters.
- Supports preparation and administration of payroll information, staff allowances, and related employee documentation.
- Assists management in communicating HR policies, procedures, workplace requirements, and employee-related information.
- Supports employee engagement activities, internal communications, training coordination, and staff development initiatives.
- Coordinates office administration, supplies, facilities, service providers, and general workplace requirements.
- Maintains proper filing and documentation systems for HR, administration, procurement, and office records.
- Supports compliance with applicable labour, employment, workplace, and company requirements.
- Coordinates meetings, office activities, travel arrangements, and other administrative requirements when necessary.
- Prepares HR and administrative reports and provides relevant information to management for decision-making.
- Maintains confidentiality of employee, company, commercial, and other sensitive information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- Working knowledge of HR administration, employee records, recruitment, labour practices, and office administration.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information professionally.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- More than 2 years of experience in HR, administration, or a related role.
- Strong organisational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Tanzanian employment and labour requirements is an added advantage.
