Job Summary

The Gynecologist is responsible for providing specialized medical care in women's reproductive health, including diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, and management of gynecological conditions. The role also supports maternal healthcare and reproductive health services.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

• Diagnose and treat gynecological conditions and reproductive health disorders.
• Conduct routine examinations and screening procedures.
• Provide antenatal, postnatal, and family planning services where applicable.
• Perform minor and major gynecological procedures within the scope of practice.

Patient Care

• Educate patients on reproductive health, disease prevention, and wellness.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient confidentiality.
• Refer complex cases to appropriate specialists when necessary.

Collaboration & Compliance

• Work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Participate in clinical audits and continuous quality improvement.
• Ensure compliance with medical regulations and ethical standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent.
• Master's Degree or specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Valid practicing licence from the relevant regulatory authority.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience.
