Our Supply Chain and Manufacturing team are problem-solvers, sourcing, producing, and delivering our much-loved brands to delight customers around the globe. Over half of Diageo’s 30,000+ people work in Supply Chain and Manufacturing. About the role

As an Electrical Technician, you will apply technical, process, continuous improvement, and individual/team development skills to optimize overall brewery improvement and plant performance. You will effectively utilize maintenance systems data and ensure compliance with safe systems of work. Your role involves delivering and enhancing performance targets across safety, quality, service, cost, and asset care domains. Additionally, you will drive Manufacturing Management Systems (MMS) at the shift level to achieve operational excellence.

Top accountabilities

Ensure Safety Compliance and Promote a Safety Culture

  • Strictly adhere to Occupational Health and Safety standards and site safety procedures.
  • Model safe behavior at all times and actively challenge and correct unsafe practices.

Operate and Maintain Plant Equipment

  • Provide comprehensive production services, including operating, cleaning, and maintaining assigned equipment.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and monitor plant performance daily.

Optimize Equipment Performance Through Planned Maintenance

  • Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules to maximize equipment availability and operational efficiency.

Monitor and Control Utility Resources

  • Ensure adequate water storage for brewery operations.
  • Accurately monitor and log key equipment parameters (e.g., temperature, pressure, current, voltage).

Support Continuous Improvement and Team Performance

  • Apply MMS principles and support Utilities Engineer in meeting production targets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues during troubleshooting and participate in training and development activities.

Qualifications and Experience Required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations, maintenance, process control, and performance measurement
  • Background in a brewery, beverage, or food manufacturing environment is essential
  • Strictly adhere to Occupational Health and Safety standards and site safety procedures.
