Southern Zone Referral Hospital

Responsibilities or duties

  • Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure its safety condition.
  • Transport staff to various places on official trips.
  • Carry out minor vehicle maintenance.
  • Collect and distribute various documents.
  • Fill in and maintain records of all trips in the log book.
  • Keep the vehicle clean at all times.
  • Perform other duties as directed by their supervisor.

Qualifications or requirements 

  • Form Four certificate
  • Class C or C1 driving licence for vehicles they have been driving for not less than one year without causing an accident.
  • Basic Driving Course offered by the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) or another Government‑recognized college.
  • Trade Test certificate (priority will be given to applicants with this).
  • Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 35 years.
  • Legal owner of academic certificates.
  • Two guarantors who are Public Service employees.
  • Must not have been previously employed in any Public Institution since graduation.
  • Certificates issued by foreign examination boards for Form Four (CSE) or Form Six (ACSE) education must be verified by the National Examinations Council (NECTA).

Experience needed

  • Driving experience of not less than one year without causing an accident.
