We are a growing agribusiness company engaged in sourcing, purchasing, and supplying various agricultural crops from farmers and collection centers. To strengthen our field operations, we are looking for a committed and trustworthy Crop Procurement Officer to join our team.

Position Summary

The Crop Procurement Officer will be responsible for purchasing crops directly from the farmers while ensuring quality, quantity, and cost efficiency. The role involves procurement planning, budget management, quality pre-inspection, accurate weight measurement, documentation, and continuous communication with management on crop supply dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute crop procurement activities in assigned areas
• Request and manage procurement budgets in line with procurement plans
• Conduct pre-inspection of crops to assess quality before purchasing
• Accurately measure crop weight during purchasing and loading
• Purchase crops in accordance with company procedures and approved prices
• Prepare Loading Reports (LR) during loading operations
• Prepare and issue Delivery Notes for all procured crops
• Monitor and report increases or decreases in crop supply availability
• Track and report market price changes and trends
• Communicate any challenges, risks, or opportunities observed in the field to management
• Perform procurement budget retirement and submit supporting documents on time

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Procurement, or related field
• Experience in crop procurement or field purchasing is an added advantage
• Basic knowledge of crop quality standards and grading
• Ability to measure weights accurately and handle field documentation
• Strong numerical, reporting, and record-keeping skills
• High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
• Willingness to work in field locations and travel as required
• Good communication and reporting skills
