Job Title: Cost Control Specialist

Job Purpose
The Cost Control Specialist is responsible for planning, studying, and collecting data to determine the costs of business activities—including raw material purchases, inventory production processes, supplies, machinery, shipping, and plant operations. The role involves managing budgets, analyzing cost variances, monitoring expenditures, and preparing accurate cost reports to support effective financial and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Analysis & Financial Control
- Conduct ongoing constraint analysis, support target costing projects, perform margin analysis, and track costs back to underlying activities.
- Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services to determine their effect on costs.
- Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures and analyze cost audits to prepare detailed reports.
- Formulate estimates for new and proposed product costs.
- Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting product/service pricing and profitability.
- Inventory & Operational Support
- Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program.
- Reconcile finished goods inventories.
- Review purchase requisitions for cost accuracy and alignment.
- Assist in month-end financial closure processes.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QHSE Responsibilities
Elsewedy Electric requires active commitment to, and accountability for, QHSE from all employees. Responsibilities include:
- Protecting and striving for the continuous improvement of health, safety, and security at all times.
- Eliminating quality non-conformance and HSE accidents.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, standards, and protocols.
- Creating a safe work environment, managing risks, and reducing exposure to liability.
- Supporting line management in managing HSE incidents and corrective/preventive actions.

Job Requirements
Experience & Education
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years required (4 years preferred).
- Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or a relevant discipline.
- Professional Certificates: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an added advantage.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English.
Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Strong focus on functional and customer outcomes.
