Job Description
Reports To: Safety and Quality Manager
Job Purpose
To drive the growth of TMHS Safety Solutions' Chemical Business Unit by identifying and securing customers, managing supplier relationships, providing technical support on chemical products, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing the safe handling, storage, and distribution of chemicals.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development, Customer and Supplier Relationship Management
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities for chemical products and services across key sectors including mining, manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, hospitality, healthcare, water treatment plants, laboratories, and government institutions.
- Develop and maintain a robust customer and prospect database, conduct market intelligence activities, and actively engage potential clients through visits, presentations, and business meetings.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, tender documents, and technical submissions; follow up on inquiries and leads to secure sales and achieve agreed revenue and business growth targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and business continuity.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling TMHS products and services, including chemicals, safety solutions, training, emergency response, waste management, and compliance services.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures, and contract terms with customers and business partners while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Source chemical products and related materials from local and international suppliers, evaluate supplier capabilities, negotiate pricing and supply agreements, and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply chains.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer requirements, and emerging opportunities to support business growth and strategic decision-making.
- Prepare periodic sales, business development, and market performance reports for management review.
Chemical Operations
- Manage the procurement, storage, inventory control, handling, and distribution of chemicals while ensuring proper labeling, stock management, and maintenance of storage facilities.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable chemical, environmental, occupational health and safety regulations, maintain required licenses and permits, and keep accurate chemical documentation including Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
- Implement chemical safety programs, conduct risk assessments, promote safe handling practices, monitor PPE compliance, and coordinate emergency preparedness, spill response, and incident investigations.
Technical Support
- Provide technical expertise on chemical products, support customers in product selection and application, deliver training and demonstrations, and develop procedures and guidelines for safe chemical handling and use.
QUALIFICATIONS
Academic Qualifications
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in:

- 2–5 years of experience in:
