Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Breakfast Chef to lead our morning kitchen service. The Breakfast Chef will be responsible for preparing and presenting a wide variety of breakfast and brunch items to the highest standards. This role requires speed, efficiency, and a passion for creating the first memorable meal of the day for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation & Cooking:
- Prepare and cook all breakfast menu items, including eggs, pancakes, meats, pastries, and specialty dishes.
- Set up and stock the breakfast station with all necessary supplies and ingredients.
- Prepare food items in compliance with recipes and portion controls.
- Quality & Consistency:
- Ensure all food is of high quality, visually appealing, and served at the correct temperature.
- Maintain consistency in the taste and presentation of all dishes.
- Kitchen Operations:
- Manage the breakfast service timeline efficiently to meet guest demand during peak hours.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Assist in receiving and storing morning deliveries.
- Teamwork:
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and the F&B service team.
- Guide and assist junior cooks or kitchen attendants during the shift.
- Inventory Control:
- Monitor inventory levels for breakfast items and report shortages to the Head Chef.
- Minimize waste and manage food stock effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef, Line Cook, or similar role in a hotel or high-volume restaurant.
- Excellent knowledge of breakfast and brunch cuisine.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Speed and efficiency in a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene rules in a kitchen.
- Team spirit and good communication skills.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent in experience is preferred.
