Job Purpose

To provide strategic and operational leadership for bonded warehouse operations, ensuring full compliance with customs regulations, effective inventory control, risk management, and the secure handling of all bonded goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all bonded warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, issuance, and inventory management.
  • Ensure strict compliance with customs laws, bonded warehouse regulations, and internal control procedures.
  • Maintain oversight of all bonded inventory from entry to release, ensuring full accountability and audit readiness.
  • Review and approve warehouse records, reports, and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor bonded storage timelines and ensure timely clearance, extensions, or disposals as required by customs authorities.
  • Lead periodic and ad-hoc stock audits, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and coordinate internal teams, assign duties, and enforce operational standards.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with customs officials, auditors, vendors, and key customers.
  • Ensure warehouse safety, security, hygiene, and professional presentation suitable for regulatory inspections.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory role within a customs bonded warehouse or regulated logistics environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of customs laws, bonded warehouse regulations, import/export procedures, and inventory control systems.
