Background
EarthLungs Reforestation Foundation is an organization dedicated to ecosystem restoration, environmental conservation, and sustainable community development. Through innovative restoration initiatives, the organization works closely with local communities and partners to promote biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods.
The organization is currently seeking a passionate and entrepreneurial BEEyond Trees Coordinator to join its team in Tanzania on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will lead the implementation of the BEEyond Trees initiative by developing sustainable beekeeping systems, strengthening honey value chains, supporting conservation efforts, and improving livelihoods within local communities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the BEEyond Trees initiative in Tanzania.
- Develop and support sustainable apiculture and beekeeping systems.
- Build and strengthen honey value chain programs.
- Engage, mobilize, and train local communities on sustainable beekeeping practices.
- Collaborate with conservation and restoration teams to support ecosystem restoration activities.
- Support enterprise development and establish market linkages for honey and related products.
- Promote environmental conservation and sustainable livelihood initiatives.
- Monitor program activities and support effective project implementation.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and community groups.
Qualifications
- Experience in apiculture and honey value chain development.
- Strong community engagement and training skills.
- Experience in enterprise development and livelihood programs.
- Knowledge and experience in natural resource management and conservation initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for environmental conservation and community empowerment.
- Good organizational and project coordination skills.
