Chuo Kikuu cha Sayansi na Teknolojia Mbeya (MUST) is seeking to fill 2 positions for Assistant Lecturer (Law).

Responsibilities or duties

The Assistant Lecturer will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out lectures, conducting tutorials, seminars and practical sessions for undergraduate programs;
  • Preparing and presenting case studies;
  • Conducting and publishing/disseminating research results;
  • Recognizing students having difficulties, intervening and providing help and support;
  • Participating in consultancies and community services under supervision;
  • Attending workshops, conferences and symposia; and
  • Performing any other duties that the relevant authorities may assign.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Applicants must hold Master's and Bachelor's Degrees in Laws (LLM) with specialization in Trade and Investment Law, Information and Communication Technology Law, International Criminal Justice Law, Land Laws, Revenue Law and Administration, Procedural Law and International Legal Practice, Corporate Laws, Commercial Laws.

Required GPA: At least a GPA of 4.0 out of 5 in the Master's degree and a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 in the Bachelor's degree.

Additionally, an Unclassified Master’s degree by thesis/research only shall be considered if the applicant has a pass grade and has published at least two (2) papers in reputable peer-reviewed journals in a relevant field.
