Job Overview:

To safely and efficiently operate Class E trucks for the transportation of assembly components, finished goods, and materials between sites, suppliers, and warehouses, ensuring timely support to the production line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely drive and maneuver Class E trucks (typically medium/heavy rigid trucks) in compliance with all traffic laws and company regulations.
  • Transport assembly parts, raw materials, and finished products to and from the assembly plant, suppliers, and distribution points.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and adherence to safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery notes, and trip records.
  • Assist with basic inventory checks during loading/unloading.
  • Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and is serviced according to the maintenance schedule.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Valid Tanzanian Driving License Class E.
  • Certificate of Secondary Education or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic mechanical skills.
  • Ability to handle heavy cargo and operate loading equipment (e.g., pallet jack) is an advantage.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
