Key Responsibilities
Vehicle and Driver Management
- Manage and coordinate company drivers and vehicles efficiently
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company procedures, and work discipline
Transport Scheduling
- Plan and manage daily transport schedules
- Plan routes, coordinate vehicle dispatch, and track trips
- Fuel and Vehicle Maintenance Management
- Monitor fuel consumption and control operational costs
- Manage preventive maintenance and emergency repairs
- Collaborate with mechanics and maintenance service providers
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
Diploma or Degree in one of the following fields:
- Transport and Logistics Management
- Supply Chain Management
- Business Administration
- Mechanical Engineering
Additional Training:
Certificate from recognized institutions such as NIT or VETA is an added advantage, especially in vehicle maintenance
Work Experience:
At least 1 to 2 years of experience in transport-related roles or vehicle management
Professional Knowledge:
- Experience in monitoring fuel usage
- Understanding of preventive maintenance
- Ability to plan routes and improve transport efficiency
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience using vehicle management systems or GPS Tracking Systems (e.g., Geotab, SAP)
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management abilities
- Good communication and negotiation skills with service providers
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Additional Requirements
Must have a valid driver’s license
