Oceanland Hauliers Limited is inviting applications from motivated, passionate, and career-driven individuals seeking internship opportunities in the following departments:
ACCOUNTS INTERN
- Support the Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth transactional workflows.
- Data Entry & Reconciliation: Assist in posting daily financial transactions into the accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Excel). Reconcile bank statements and petty cash books.
- Invoicing & Billing: Prepare and dispatch customer invoices for haulage services rendered. Follow up on outstanding payments and update the accounts receivable ledger.
- Expense Management: Verify and process staff expense claims, fuel receipts, and vendor payment requests against company policies.
- Fleet Cost Analysis: Assist in tracking operational costs per truck (e.g., fuel consumption, maintenance, and toll fees) to help management identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Documentation: File and archive financial documents (waybills, delivery notes, and purchase orders) to ensure audit readiness.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing weekly/monthly financial summaries, including profit-and-loss statements for management review.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment.
