Job Purpose

The Control Center Operator is responsible for monitoring and managing the real-time operations of installed systems and field infrastructure. The role ensures continuous functionality, promptly addresses faults, and escalates incidents to relevant technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor system dashboards, alerts, and control center applications in real-time.
  • Log incidents, escalate system faults to relevant departments, and follow up until resolution.
  • Coordinate with field support teams and technical staff during system outages or service interruptions.
  • Ensure proper operation of central monitoring equipment and maintain system logs.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting or remote resets where applicable.
  • Follow protocols and escalation paths for incidents, security breaches, or service degradation.
  • Document system status and generate daily operational reports.
  • Support the execution of scheduled maintenance or emergency response plans.

Education

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Technical certifications or control center operations training are an advantage. 

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years in a monitoring or operations control center role.
  • Familiarity with system dashboards, SCADA tools, or NOC/SOC environments is preferred.

Must Have

  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • Ability to follow procedures and make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems, networking, or infrastructure monitoring tools.
  • Comfortable working in shift-based environments, including weekends or nights if needed.

Metrics Accurate logging and documentation of incidents Timely escalation and resolution coordination Control center uptime and monitoring accuracy Communication responsiveness and team collaboration Shift and protocol adherence
