JOB DETAILS:

Job Summary:
The Medical Attendant provides essential support to the clinical team by ensuring the cleanliness of the clinical environment, assisting with basic patient care, and handling medical supplies. Experience in the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care, such as lifting, turning, and moving patients.
• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, wards, and medical equipment.
• Transport patients to and from departments (e.g., Radiology, Theatre).
• Deliver specimens to the lab and transport medical records, supplies, and equipment.
• With CSSD Experience: Clean, sterilize, assemble, and distribute surgical instruments, packs, and medical equipment.
• Ensure waste is disposed of according to hospital infection control policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Form IV/VI certificate. A certificate in Health Attendant or Nursing Assistant is a strong advantage.
• Preferred: Prior experience in a hospital setting, particularly with CSSD (sterilization) duties.
• Physical stamina, reliability, and a strong understanding of hygiene principles.
