Braeburn International School, Arusha is seeking to appoint a highly organized, professional, and enthusiastic Whole School Secretary to provide administrative and secretarial support across the school and contribute to the efficient day-to-day running of the administration office.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the school leadership team.
  • Manage correspondence, emails, telephone calls, and visitor enquiries in a professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and databases.
  • Prepare letters, reports, meeting agendas, and minutes as required.
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and school events.
  • Support student admissions, staff administration, and general school operations.
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Assist with communication between parents, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake other administrative duties as assigned by the Headteacher.

Requirements & qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies, Office Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a secretarial or administrative role, preferably within an educational environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Professional appearance, integrity, and a customer-service-oriented approach.
