JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
Waiters/Waitresses are responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus, explain dishes, and make recommendations.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems.
- Serve meals and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction.
Order & Payment Processing:
- Relay orders to kitchen staff and baristas/bartenders.
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments accurately.
- Resolve billing discrepancies or guest complaints with tact.
Cleanliness & Setup:
- Set tables with clean linens, cutlery, and glassware.
- Clear dishes, refill water/condiments, and reset tables for new guests.
- Maintain cleanliness in dining and service areas.
Teamwork:
- Assist colleagues during peak hours.
- Communicate with kitchen staff about special requests or delays.
- Attend pre-shift briefings and training sessions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Prior serving experience preferred but not required (training provided).
- Skills:
- Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling payments.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (a plus)
