Strategic Insights Trainee
We are excited to invite applications for the role of Strategic Insights Trainee. Responsibilities
Main Areas of Responsibility
As a Strategic Insights Trainee, you will be immersed in a variety of marketing activities with a core focus on strategic insights. You will work closely with experienced Strategic Insights professionals to gather, analyse, and interpret market data to uncover trends, customer preferences, and competitive activity. Your insights will support the development of impactful marketing strategies aimed at enhancing brand presence and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in analysis of market and consumer data using various quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Contribute to the preparation of detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, product development, and communications to integrate insights into marketing strategies.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative marketing campaigns informed by research outcomes.
- Conduct targeted research to identify challenges affecting JTI brands and customer performance, then use the insights to propose effective corrective measures.
- Conduct market surveys and compile detailed reports to address identified gaps in the market and branches.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to keep the company at the forefront of market developments.

- Hands-on experience with marketing analytics tools and data visualisation software.
- Understanding of consumer behaviour and the factors influencing purchasing decisions.
- Skills in market segmentation, targeting, and positioning strategies.
- How to translate data insights into actionable marketing plans.
- Working in a collaborative and fast-paced marketing environment.
- Effective communication and presentation skills tailored for diverse audiences.
Qualifications and Skills
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Basic understanding of market research techniques and data analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Positive attitude and commitment to delivering quality work.
