Position Description
Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit Short Term Planning Superintendent to join and grow our team for Two (2) Fixed Term Renewable.

Responsibilities
- Responsible of providing the full year mine plan activities in EPS or Deswik (scheduler software) before the deadline.
- Always make sure that the short-term plan follows the LOM plan strategy.
- Ensure that all rolling plans are targeting the 0+12 budget.
- Detailed 3-month plans with all mining activities split in scheduler software so that to get a more realistic plan that will be understood and executed by the operation team.
- Continuously working with geological block model and geotechnical block model to optimize the stopes shapes.
- Assisting Planning Engineer to generate weekly mine plans by scheduling and developing mining strategy to achieve KPI.
- Carrying out various studies to optimize drilling & blasting practices.
- Look forward to developing CAPEX heading to give geologist more flexibility to do advance drilling allowing the reserves replacement.
- Committed in continuous training of Junior Mining Engineers.
- Establish the strategic plan that enables to build up the drill reserves to increase flexibility.
- Stope shape optimizations.
- Life of my updates.
- Mine unflooding project management.
- Provide training to enable Tanzanian nationals with the knowledge.
Qualification Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Mining engineering; advanced degree a significant asset
- Registered as or can be registered as a Professional Mining Engineer to meet the requirements of being a Qualified Person.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years’ international experience in mining., including underground mining in production, dewatering, mine survey, planning and scheduling and stope shapes optimization.
- Ability to develop all aspects of the team’s Mining Planning skill sets.
- An excellent understanding of Underground Mining environments and deposit models.
Skills / Knowledge Requirements:
- Knowledge in Mining software (ArcGIS, Micromine, Leapfrog)
- Hands on experience in field work, Mining & Planning programs.
- Maintaining Work Standards: Critique own performance as a means of self-improvement; Set high standards of work performance for self.
- Team Member/Contributing to Team Success: Offer suggestions for achieving team goals or performing team functions; regularly share information with the team; demonstrate a personal commitment to the team.
- Performing tasks under minimal supervision and monitoring
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Demonstrate high working ethics and conduct at all times.
