MBOGWE DISTRICT COUNCIL is seeking to fill 13 positions for Revenue and Tax Collectors.
Responsibilities or duties
- Collecting all taxes and revenues of the Council (crop tax, billboard tax, business licenses, gate and market taxes);
- Issuing valid electronic receipts (POS/EFD) for every payment transaction collected;
- Safeguarding and timely banking of all funds collected through the Control number;
- Sensitizing citizens and traders to pay taxes voluntarily;
- Preparing and submitting to the Director daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports;
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Revenue Supervisor or the Head of the Finance and Accounting Department.
Qualifications or requirements
- Must be a Tanzanian aged between 18 and 35 years.
- Must have Form IV or VI education with good grades.
- Must have skills in using POS machines and electronic revenue collection systems.
- Must be honest, upright, and hardworking.
- Must be ready to work in any environment within Mbogwe District (Markets, Barriers, and bus stations) including evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays.
- Residents of Mbogwe District will be given priority.
