Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and sales-driven Reservation Agent to handle all booking inquiries. You will be responsible for converting inquiries into confirmed reservations, optimizing room occupancy, and providing accurate information to potential guests to ensure a seamless booking experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle Bookings: Manage reservations via phone, email, and online travel agents (OTAs).
Upselling: Maximize revenue by upselling room categories, meal plans, and lodge activities.
Customer Service: Provide potential guests with accurate information about room availability, rates, and lodge policies.
Data Management: Accurately enter and maintain reservation details in the Property Management System (PMS).
Confirmation & Communication: Send booking confirmations and pre-arrival information to guests. Communicate special requests to relevant departments (Kitchen, Front Office).
Reporting: Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reservation reports.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience in a reservations or front office role, preferably in a lodge or hotel.
- Strong sales skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Excellent computer literacy, including experience with PMS and MS Office.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple inquiries.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Must be eligible to work in Tanzania.
