Job Summary

The Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests and visitors, responsible for creating a warm, professional, and welcoming atmosphere. This role manages check-in and check-out procedures, handles inquiries, coordinates reservations, and provides administrative support to ensure seamless front desk operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately.
  • Handle room reservations, cancellations, and modifications via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Answer incoming calls, direct them appropriately, and take accurate messages.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Process payments, issue invoices, and reconcile daily cash and card transactions.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of room availability, rates, and promotions.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address guest needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable reception area.
  • Manage mail, deliveries, and general administrative duties.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety, and security procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or business certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist, front desk agent, or in customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and hotel/booking management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
