Job Purpose

To ensure all printed packaging materials (labels, cartons, flexibles) meet the specified quality standards for color, graphics, dimensions, and functionality before they are used in production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming and in-process printed materials against approved artworks and specifications (color match, registration, font size, barcodes, die-cut).
• Use quality control instruments (densitometer, spectrophotometer, magnifying glass, rulers) for measurements.
• Maintain and manage physical sample archives and approved standards.
• Document all inspection results, report non-conformances, and initiate Quality Reports (QR).
• Liaise with the printing suppliers to communicate defects and ensure corrective actions.
• Conduct press-side approvals during print runs when required.
• Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and legal/regulatory marking requirements.
• Support production teams in troubleshooting printing-related quality issues on the line.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, or Industrial Quality Control.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in quality control within a printing or packaging manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of printing processes (offset, flexography, gravure).

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent color vision and keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using color measurement tools.
• Knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
