The Key Purpose of this role is to manage, design, coordinate, and implement process control and automation systems within the Maltings plant, ensuring plant reliability, equipment availability, process stability, and continuous improvement of control and automation infrastructure. The role supports the achievement of manufacturing and business objectives through technological innovation, proactive maintenance, and staff development.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, manage, coordinate, and implement new process control and automation systems.
  • Ensure the integrity, reliability, and sustainability of control and automation infrastructure.
  • Monitor and maintain process parameters to achieve maximum plant performance and zero downtime.
  • Provide and manage maintenance resources to optimize plant reliability and equipment availability.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, engineering, quality, and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve control and automation system failures.
  • Recommend and implement automation best practices and technology improvements.
  • Support, coach, and develop technical staff.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and software developments in the automation field.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Automation, Instrumentation, or related field.
  • Experience in process control and industrial automation systems.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and industrial control systems.
  • Understanding of maintenance principles, plant operations, and reliability engineering.
  • Knowledge of applicable engineering, safety, and legal compliance requirements.
